Earth Day Poster Contest

Earth Day 2024 will be celebrated at the Milford Public Library and Fowler Field and Pavilion from 10AM to 3PM on Saturday April 20th. In addition to various activities for families and kids, the Milford Energy Advisory Board will sponsor a poster contest. Entries will be in three age categories: 7-10, 11-14, and 15-18. There will be a prize of $50 for the best poster in each age category with an additional $25 for “Best in Show.”

Contest Rules

1. Age 7-18.

2. Format will be on 24” x 18” poster board.

3. Orientation will be Landscape

4. Design will be done using any combination of tempura paint, permanent marker, drawing pencils, crayons, and pen and ink. Collage presentation using any combination of paper, trimmed or entire photographs, fabric, and/or other ephemera glued to the poster board.

5. The theme of the posters should reflect some combination of the issues of earth ecology, global warming, renewable energy, and conservation of energy. It should incorporate the phrase “Earth Day 2024”

6. The name, age, and home telephone number of one or both parents of the entrant will be written on the back of the poster.

7. Posters will be on display during the Earth Day Celebrations.

8. Once submitted, posters will be the property of the Milford Energy Advisory Board.

9. Entries will be accepted at the Children's Desk of the Milford Public Library until closing time on Thursday, April 18.
